Cornered + Insurgent + Visceral Contempt - Posse Productions and Silent Call Collective present
Cornered
Cornered started out in 2008 when many hardcore bands were drifting away from
the sound they loved the most. Within a period of four years they toured Europe
several times and even did a full-US tour in 2011. Having recorded three
full-length albums, three 7”es and a handful of split 7”es, Cornered are back in
the original line-up working on a follow-up record. Fans of fast hardcore with
an occasional groove need to pay attention.

Insurgent
Insurgent is a melodic hardcore band from Northern France, formed in late 2022.
Blending melodic death metal, metalcore, and emo-punk influences, the band has
forged an intense and emotional identity driven by songwriting that is both
socially engaged and deeply cathartic. Following the release of their EP Bring
the Sword in December 2025, the band continues to build on its momentum. The
year 2026 marks a new milestone, with an intense live schedule and the band’s
first UK tour. In June, the single We Are Not Slaves to Fear opens a new
chapter, serving as the first taste of Not the Peace, a second threetrack EP
scheduled for release later this year.

Visceral Contempt
Visceral Contempt rose from the ashes of Human Demise, which disbanded in 2013.
Vocalist Maurice and guitarist Willem stayed in touch, and in 2023 Willem wrote
three old school metalcore tracks built around the concept of Operation Oyster –
the WWII Allied bombing raid on the Philips factories in Eindhoven. Maurice
penned the lyrics and rehearsals began. Victor (Dark Intentions / Pigteeth)
joined on drums, and the debut demo The Raid was recorded in February 2024. The
demo was released later that year, with Johan (ex-No Turning Back) stepping in
on bass. The band played their first shows in December 2024 and 2025, supporting
Earth Crisis, Mindwar and Rancor. With five new songs and a remastered demo in
hand, WTF Records jumped at the chance to release them together on CD and
digital. 2026 turns bleak when Visceral Contempt hits the stage again.
