Are they the greatest hardcore act of all time? They just might be. Certainly among the most influential.

MADBALL started as a mere AGNOSTIC FRONT side project. Roger's younger brother getting on stage to bang out AF songs, eventually delivering the 'Ball of Destruction" EP - putting a fresh new spin on the classics for the second wave of NYHC. And then 'Droppin' Many Suckas' - an EP that effectively, once again, reinvented the NYHC sound, set off a new era and lyrically delivered an entirely new swagger. I mean, is 'One Voice' a MADBALL LP?

'Set it Off,' 'Demonstrating My Style,' 'Look My Way,' 'Hold It Down,' - when we talk about HARDCORE in 2026, we are largely talking about hardcore as MADBALL rewrote it. As it goes, 'Hardcore is NYHC now' and NYHC is MADBALL. To say we're honoured is an understatement.

Of course, they arrive with the modern NYHC torchbearers COMBUST - who while they might be stylistically more in debt to the likes of THE ICEMEN and DYNAMO, spiritually, they worship at the MADBALL alter because of course they do.
