DESCRIPTION:Girls to the Front is an initiative from Utrecht that focuses o
	n the\nrepresentation of FLINTA in the Dutch punk music industry. It start
	ed off as an\nevent in Utrecht\, organized by Bibi Fay Bannink (an 18-year
	-old feminist punk\nfan with a plan) and grew into a compilation LP with t
	he 14 most prominent punk\nbands with FLINTA front women\, named Girls to 
	the Front.\n\nOn International Women’s Day 2026\, the second “Girls to the
	 Front” compilation\nalbum was released. We are celebrating this once more
	 with three bands in\nMerleyn: Clitteband\, Snackbar and Hondenfokker.\n\n
	Clitteband:\nFun: fun on stage\, fun in the music. Fun in their identity a
	s young\, feminist\,\nqueer\, loud and alternative. With a mix of energeti
	c and creative punk\,\nClitteband is conquering stages all over the countr
	y. Screaming\, stomping\,\nthrowing punches\, pushing back and pushing bou
	ndaries: Clitteband draws\ninspiration from old punk\, but is not afraid t
	o innovate.\n\nSnackbar:\nIn 2026\, SNACKBAR cane back from the Amsterdam 
	back alleys to the stage with\nfresh blood in the line-up and new music. E
	xpect a fatal dose of feminist hard\nrock with screeching organs\, cutting
	 guitar riffs and compelling punk rhythms.\nIn 2024 they released their fi
	rst EP\; a second one is on the way.\n\nHondenfokker:\nHondenfokker put th
	emselves front and centre. No abstractions or fragmented\nworlds\, but dir
	ect confrontation. A punk-driven trio that mixes electronic beats\nwith sc
	reeching guitars\, pure vocal improvisations and guilty pleasure melodies.
	\nSoaked in fun and fashion\, these “breeders” find their way to every par
	ty.
