DESCRIPTION:BRIGANDAGE began as a twinkle in Michelle’s eye the moment she
saw Johnny Rotten\nstep onto stage at the 100 Club. Finally in 1981 Brigan
dage took shape to remind\npeople of the glory\, colour and inclusiveness
of 1976!\n\nDue to a concatenation of events and timing within 9 months Br
igandage was on\nthe front cover of the N.M.E.\, doing a Peel session and
supporting the likes of\nSex Gang Children which in an incredible piece of
luck and twist of fate Terry\nMacleay\, founding member of Sex Gang Child
ren\, is now Brigandage bassist!\nUnfortunately like many bands Brigandage
imploded before it could really start\,\nso Michelle had to start all ove
r again and went underground into the anarchist\npunk scene.\n\nA live at
the Marquee cassette album F.Y.M. was released mid 80’s in true D.I.Y.\nst
yle but time flies as they say and Brigandage were asked to play Rebellion
\,\nthe famous punk rock festival in 2024. Suddenly Brigandage had risen o
nce more\nlike a punk rock phoenix\, is gigging again and about to return
to Europe after\nall these years to play with dear friends Rubber Gun\, pr
omoting their soon to be\nreleased new album “Half Moon Rising.\n\n\n\n***
*********\n\nForty years ago (back in the day\, when everyone played in a
band\, right?)\,\nRUBBER GUN was formed. In a punk-infested\, squatted lit
tle neighbourhood in the\nbeautiful historic city of Zutphen\, two residen
ts kicked it off. The band’s fame\nstretched deep into Germany\, where Rub
ber Gun had a loyal fan base. Top notch\nsupport.\n\nThe German punk label
Teenage Rebel featured two of Rubber Gun’s songs on a\ncollection album.
A couple of years later\, two fans financed the recordings of\nRubber Gun’
s first and only complete album of their own. ‘Grease Up!’ finally\nsaw th
e light of day several years later and is now available on the ubiquitous\
nSpotify.\n\nIn the early nineties\, the band fell apart. Everyone went th
eir own way. Some\nmembers continued to play\, but only as a fun side proj
ect.\n\nEgged on by friends in the London-based band Brigandage\, Rubber G
un has now\ndecided to return to their picks and sticks and take their old
material back on\nstage. You can’t call it a midlife crisis\, those days
are already in the past.\nThey’re just raring to give it another go!\n\nRu
bber Gun is ready to take to the stage alongside Brigandage at the end of
May.\nBrigandage will be travelling the Netherlands from Thursday May 28th
	 till\nSaturday May 30st.  \n\n
